1. See a therapist.
Be cognizant of the fact that post-partum depression is very real. If you are one of the mothers who feels like it could be manifesting, don’t be ashamed to tell someone. Let your OB/GYN know what’s going on. They should be able to refer you to a therapist who can help you gain the strength and solutions you need to make it through. While it’s good to use a journal, get fresh air and drink lots of water, there are times when you’ll need the assistance of a professional to help you move past the depression. Besides, you’re in a time period where your hormones are all over the place. It’s not uncommon for many women to experience a bout of post-partum or pre-partum depression.

2. Enjoy online shopping.
Preserve your energy. If you are energized by the thought of going to the mall to shop, go for it. However, if the thought tires you out on its own, take advantage of online shopping. You can purchase stylish outfits that’ll be sent to your front door. You can also purchase cute clothes and girls mary jane shoes for your daughters.

3. Use assistance.
If you have close friends and family members who are willing to rally around you, don’t be too proud to take their assistance. If they offer to babysit so you can take a nap, get the rest you need. If you need help with the dishes or dinner prep one week, ask a friend. It’s also good to consider hiring a maid service to come once in a while to deep-clean the house for you.
