Call it the renaissance of Jude Law, but the actor has been making headlines recently after something of a hiatus. While Law is no stranger to the tabloids, the difference is that these days, Law seems to be ushering in a new era of 40s – something men can aspire to, women can fawn over, and the rest of us can only hope we experience the same treatment when we get to that age.

Most recently, the actor found himself the pin-up for the 40’s bod, after images surfaced of him shooting scenes for The New Pope in a tiny pair of trunks, as women stood alongside him throwing beach balls in the air – you know, naturally. But today, Law is turning heads for another stylish move (only this time, he’s clothed). In what was a surprise wedding, Law married his partner Phillipa Coan in an intimate wedding in London. The pair arrived at the Alfred Dunhill Private Members Club in Mayfair after getting married at Marylebone Registry Office.

Is Hollywood shunning the big, extravagant wedding now? Is the “shock” wedding the latest trend? Law’s marriage follows the surprise announcement that Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner were married in a Las Vegas-style wedding, complete with an Elvis Presley impersonator.

While Law’s wedding wasn’t quite the same rambunctious affair, he did opt for something low-key and chose an outfit to match. Wearing a low-slung white t-shirt paired with a crushed velvet blazer and matching pinstripe trousers, the actor added his signature dapper touch with a fedora and skinny scarf
