Finally, Emma Stone got to meet her idol: Emma Bunton (a.k.a Baby Spice). Stone fulfilled a lifelong dream when she came face-to-face with her idol after watching the band perform live at Wembley in London on June 13. Taking to Instagram, Bunton shared a photo of the pair enjoying the moment with the caption: “When Emma met Emma”. She even performed a La La Land tribute to the actor while on stage.
It’s no secret that Stone is a mega Spice Girls fan. Last year, during an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, the actor revealed the true extent of her love for the band that brought us Girl Power when she joked that her stage name came about as a result of her Baby Spice obsession.

“I was super blonde, and my real name is Emily, but I wanted to be called Emma because of Baby Spice and guess what, now I am,” Stone told the talk show host in 2018. “So, that’s pretty messed up. It wasn’t necessarily because of her,” Stone clarified. “But yes, in second grade, did I go up to the teacher and ask her to call me Emma? Yes, I did. And was it because of Emma Lee Bunton from the Spice Girls? Yes, it was.”
